Functional Schematic: eTank-System

The eTank is a new kind of energy storage. It is placed under the baseplate of newly built homes or next to already existing buildings and consists of polyethylene tubing installed in 1.5 meters of layered soil. The pipeline itself is full of brine fluid heated by solar energy or other energy sources to warm the soil. During cold periods the energy buffered in the soil of the eTank can be “recycled.” In summer the same method is used for cooling.
